Where the Peloritani and Nebrodi mountains meet, surrounded by hills that slope to the Tyrrhenian Sea, Daemone's vineyard faces the Aeolian Islands with native varieties planted in unirrigated clay-lime soil in a well-ventilated microclimate. The area is ideal for Nero d’Avola, Nocera and the white Grillo, Catarratto and Insolia varieties. In recent years, the winery has made space for imported varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which have flourished in this area of Sicily. The grapes are cultivated on espaliers and are cordon-trained and spur pruned; our cultivation methods are certified organic. Read all
